Dr. Karen Russ
Although I routinely see dogs and cats, I have a special interest in providing veterinary care to the less traditional critters or “pocket pets” including rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, and rats. Even though these critters do not receive annual vaccinations (ferrets excluded), it is important that they be examined yearly by a veterinarian. I will examine your pet and address any health concerns you may have. In addition, I can provide advice on nutrition, behavior, or husbandry issues that may be of concern. If you’d like to stop by for a nail trim, that is OK, we can do that too. Should your “pocket pet” become very ill and require advanced care, I will work with a specialist in the area to ensure the best outcome for your friend.
